Washington D.C.-born Dhanapol Marprasert developed a passion for Thai food after his family moved to Bangkok. Upon his return to the USA, Marprasert founded his first restaurant, Makin, in Manhattan. Its success led to the opening of his second venture, Kam Rai Thai, which explores blending cooking techniques from various cultures to present Thai cuisine as a dynamic fusion.
