Angels of East Africa is a South Sudan village founded by the human rights activist Sam Childers, dedicated to the rescue and restoration of orphaned and dislocated children in this conflict region.
Childers's incredible story of protecting his "angels" for over a decade, including leading armed raids to rescue thousands of children from the militia, has earned him the nickname "Machine Gun Preacher" - which became the title of the acclaimed 2011 film starring Gerard Butler as Childer.
All proceeds from this First Annual Angels of East Africa Gala will directly benefit the children with housing, education, food, and enrichment - while also presenting you with a glittering night of fine wine, delicious eats, and great company.
