Details

The story of The Accusation is as exciting as fiction itself. It was written in secret by an apparently disillusioned North Korean state writer, and smuggled outside the country inside a copy of The Collected Works of Kim Il-Sung. It depicts in start detail the terrifying realities of life under the brutal regime, and is a best-seller in South Korea and France. Join writers, activists, and musicians to mark its paperback publication in English with readings, performances, and conversation. Among guests: Min Jin Lee, author of Pachinko and finalist for the 2017 National Book Award, activst Do Hee-yun, who helped smuggle the manuscript.
